Meet Roman – our handsome four-year-old lurcher with a sensitive soul and a heart full of love.

When Roman first arrived with us, he found the world a little overwhelming and was understandably very nervous. But with time, patience and gentle reassurance, he has begun to show us who he truly is. Slowly but surely, his confidence is growing, and it’s been a joy to watch him start to come out of his shell.

Once Roman gets to know you, his affectionate nature really shines. He forms lovely bonds with his trusted people and adores quiet fuss and reassurance. There’s something incredibly special about earning the trust of a dog like Roman — when he chooses you as his person, you’ll feel it.

Roman enjoys getting out for his walks and takes comfort in a steady routine. He walks nicely on the lead, making outings calm and enjoyable. Exploring the world at his own pace helps him continue building confidence, one step at a time.

Roman would thrive in a patient, understanding home where he can continue to blossom. He could possibly live with older children, following a successful introduction, who understand he may need time and space, . Roman would need to be the only dog in the house whilst he builds his confidence, although he is happy to meet other dogs when out and about.
