Meet Marshall

Marshall is a handsome 5-year-old Lurcher who is looking for a very special forever home.

Marshall is a sweet and friendly boy, although he can be a little timid when meeting new people and sometimes feels unsure when faced with new experiences. The good news is that he has come on so much since arriving with us, and it’s wonderful to see his confidence growing as he learns that the world isn’t quite so scary after all.

He is a lovely boy who benefits from having people around him who understand that confidence takes time. Marshall walks nicely on the lead and is gradually discovering that toys can be great fun too! Seeing him try new things and become more comfortable in his surroundings has been incredibly rewarding.

Marshall will need a patient, kind and understanding owner who won’t expect too much too soon. He needs someone who will allow him to take things at his own pace, gently encourage him and celebrate all those little steps forward. In return, we’re sure Marshall will reward his special person with a wonderful bond.

Marshall could potentially live with another calm, friendly dog, following successful introductions, as the right canine companion may help him feel more settled.

For Marshall, we would prefer an adult-only home (16+) where life can be calm, predictable and reassuring. He isn’t looking for a busy or hectic household — he’s looking for someone who will give him the time, patience and understanding he needs to truly flourish.

Marshall has already shown us just how much progress he can make when given the right support. Now he needs someone who will continue that journey with him and help him discover just how wonderful life can be.
