Meet Heidi

Meet this beautiful 8-year-old Schnauzer, who is now looking for a loving home where she can enjoy her retirement years at her own pace.

When she arrived with us, she sadly wasn’t in the best condition and she is currently carrying some extra weight. She’ll need a patient and supportive person to help her on her weight-loss journey, with gentle exercise and sensible meals helping her gradually get fitter and healthier.

She is a calm, placid girl who likes to take things at her own pace, so she’ll need someone kind and patient who won’t rush her. She walks beautifully on the lead and really enjoys spending time with people.

She does have limited vision, which means she can sometimes bump into things, so her new family will need to be understanding and help her feel safe and confident as she gets to know her surroundings.

She could potentially live with older, dog-savvy children. Ideally, we feel she would be happiest as the only dog in the home. However, she may be able to live with a calm dog with a similar temperament following careful, successful introductions.

If you’re looking for a gentle companion who simply wants a quiet life, plenty of love and someone to help her become the happiest and healthiest version of herself, she could be the girl for you.
