I’m a gentle soul with a big heart who’s still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.

It hasn’t been the best of times for me and things like traffic noises, new people, and barky dogs can still make me a bit nervous — it’s all a lot to take in for a shy boy like me, although my friends at the Durham Dogs and Cats Home are helping build my trust every day! With a calm, patient human by my side, I know I’ll find my confidence. I just need time, love, and a safe space to call home.

Once I feel safe, you’ll see the real me — the sweetest, most loving boy who gives the best cuddles and will be your most loyal friend. I promise, I’ve got a lot of love to give!

I’d do best in a quiet home where things aren’t too busy or loud. I might be able to live with a friendly, calm dog who can show me the ropes — someone who can help me learn that life can be good, safe, and full of treats and belly rubs. I could also possibly live with older children who understand that sometimes I’ll need my own space.
